Belgian Waffles
Ingredients:
- 500 g flour
- 15 g compressed yeast (or ½ packet of instant yeast)
- 12 g brown sugar
- 625 ml warm water
- 125 g non-fat dry milk
- 5 g salt
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 200-250 g melted butter
- 3-4 eggs
For the sauce:
Choco Honey Classic or Choco Honey Spiced Rum
Instructions:
1. Prepare the dough:
- Place the flour in a large bowl. Make a well in the center, crumble the yeast into it, and pour in 125 ml of warm water. Add the brown sugar, dry milk, vanilla extract, and the remaining water. Mix the dough thoroughly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rise for 20-30 minutes.
2. Prepare the butter:
- While the dough is rising, melt the butter and let it cool to room temperature. Incorporate the melted butter into the dough and mix well.
3. Prepare the eggs:
- Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Add the yolks to the dough and beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the dough.
4. Preheat the waffle iron:
- Close the lid of the BORK G700 waffle iron, select the BELGIAN program, and set the toasting level to 7.
5. Cook the waffles:
- When the waffle iron signals with 2 beeps and the orange light on the display turns on, open the lid fully.
6. Add the batter:
- Using a measuring cup, add batter to the lower cooking surface, about ½ cup of batter per waffle, and close the lid.
7. Finish cooking:
- When the waffle iron signals with 3 beeps and the display shows "End," open the lid and remove the waffles.
8. Cool the waffles:
- Place the finished waffles on a wire rack.
9. Serve:
- Serve the waffles top with Choco Honey Classic or Choco Honey Spiced Rum and fruit.
Enjoy your delicious Belgian waffles!
